The Signature Series of sliding bevels feature premium timbers for infills, and a dated blade.
Extra care and attention is taken with the finishing and detail of this level of tools too, finer grit in sanding and polishing. All corners and chamfers hand finished to perfection.
Vesper sliding bevels have perfect balance in the hand and ability to lay them down flat on either face to easily take a reading off a drawing for instance.
The bevels are built with a solid brass body, stainless steel screws, and a hardened and precision ground Stainless Steel blade with a knurled brass locking knob.
Available with either 4" or 7" or 10" blade.
Potential timbers available are not limited to but include the following:
-10,000 yr old Black Red Gum.
-Tasmanian Blackwood (rich dark figured)
-Olive Wood (figured)
-Australian Ebony (D. humilis)
-Birds Eye Huon Pine.
Any Dalbergia species (Brazilian Rosewood, African Blackwood, Cocobolo, Kingwood) is subject to import/export restrictions. CITES certification will have to be obtained at cost of the purchaser for any cross-border sales. All timbers used at Vesper Tools are pre ban. This precious resource should be used very sparingly and we feel that infills in tools that are destined fro 100-200 years of use are fitting for these majestic timbers.
